With the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic world wide, Central Council of Tibetan Medicine has formed a Special Committee (SARS COV-2 Research and expertise team) to set up a guidelines for the Sowa-Rigpa; Tibetan Medical Practitioners to tackle against this deadly disease. The committee consists of member from CCTM, Registered colleges and registered member who are expert in pharmacy and clinical research.
The committee has established two guidelines – 1. Guidelines on Self care and Preventative measures against Covid-19 and 2. Guidelines on Management of Covid-19 and has approached the Kalon, Department of Health, Central Tibetan Administration for the final approval.
Advisory members have been appointed for Sowa-Rigpa practitioners who need special guidance managing Covid patients.
Members has also proposed a Project on Documentation of Sowa-Rigpa against COVID-19 to Kashag, CTA.
