General Inspection to CTMI

As of CCTM Legal Act and Regulation, Chagpori Tibetan Medical Institute (CTMI) has been registered as a Standard Kachupa Medical Institution for the temporary 3 years from 2006. According the regulation, the registration has been renewed in the year 2009 and 2011. The temporary registration of CTMI has been extended and permanently registered a Standard Kachupa Medical Institution in 2012.

As of registration guideline, an inspection team headed by Dr. Ngawang Soepa; Chairman of CCTM, Regional Coordinator Dr. Sonam Tsering Surkhang and Secretary of Tibetan Settlement Office, Darjeeling has visited CTMI for general inspection on 13th April 2015.

The team submitted their report and the report states that total 50 Medical students has been graduated from CTMI and recently 5th batch student completed their internship in different branch clinic. Currently there are 15 students studying in 6th and 7th batch classes. The course and curriculum of CTMI is going as of CCTM guidelines and the facilities for the student like classroom, library, clinic and pharmacy is well equipped. The qualification and criteria of teaching staff was well administered. Currently, there are 3 Medical teacher and 1 Tibetan language teacher teaching in CTMI.
