As of Clause 6.1.D of TMCC Act., Dr. Ugen Gyatso from Delek Hospital, Dharamsala has been appointed as an Executive Member of Central Council of Tibetan Medicine from 26th March 2021 after resignation of Dr. Tenzin Norsang.
Dr. Ugen Gyatso was born in Tibet and brought to India by his beloved mother when he was only one year old. He did his primary schooling form TCV Gopalpur and secondary schooling from TCV Selaqui. Dr. Gyatso graduated and achieved MBBS degree from Indira Gandhi Medical College( IGMC), Shimla through Sherig Scholarship under CTA. He always wanted to serve and help improve the health care system in Tibetan society. He is currently working as a medical officer at Delek hospital, Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh since Feb. 2018.
