Central Council of Tibetan Medicine

The Term duration of 6^th Executive Board Members of the Central Council of Tibetan Medicine (CCTM) has come to an end and it is hereby required to elect the 7^th term Executive Board Members of CCTM as per date scheduled for election. All the Registered Doctors under CCTM are requested to take part in the election as per the CCTM Election Rules. Registered Doctors list, Doctors Registration Number and the Election Form are available and can be downloaded from the CCTM Official Website: www.tibmedcouncil.org

As per amended CCTM legal code of Article II Clause VI “Executive members”

1. One member physician from senior personal physician to His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
2. Four-member physician from TMAI (Men-Tsee-Khang) including the principal of medical college if He / She are registered doctor, Chairman of high level medical & Astro. Council and other 2 candidates will be selected by physicians under same institute.
3. Principal of Chagpori Tibetan medical Institute.
4. Head of the department of Medical & Astro. CIHTS.
5. Head of the department of Medical @Astro. CIBS.
6. Two-member physician from Tibetan private doctors.
7. Two member physicians from non-Tibetan doctors.
8. One member physician from Sorig ’Bum bzhi lineage.
9. One allopathic doctor directly appointed by Department of Health (CTA)

ELIGIBILITY OF CANDIDATE:

Representative of Tibetan physician:

1. Registered under Central Council of Tibetan Medicine
2. Update of Green book
3. Candidate shouldn’t be declared mentally unhealthy by the legal court or doctors.
4. He/she shouldn’t have personal debt.
5. One should not have problem of legal dispute or criminal records.

Representative of Non-Tibetan physician:

1. Physician must be registered under Central Council of Tibetan Medicine
2. Candidate shouldn’t be declared mentally unhealthy by the legal court or doctors.
3. He/she shouldn’t have personal debt.
4. One should not have problem of legal dispute or criminal records
5. Citizenship holder of India or any other country

Voting Procedure and Duration:

The entire registered physician must cast their preliminary vote within 30 days of election announcement by E mail or through post via below address. One must clearly note down Candidates name with his / her Registration No. along with your own Registration No and DoB as given in the form and the last date of preliminary voting date is till 17^th August, 2022. Once the preliminary selection of the candidate is done, the actual election will begin from 22^nd August till 5^th September, 2022.

If any of registered physicians voluntarily wants to take part in the election from their category then he/she has to pay 1,000 rupees as fee with the recommendation letter from 10 different registered physicians.
