Dr. Tsering Tsamchoe, Gen. Secretary of Central Council of Tibetan Medicine (CCTM) had officially attended the 1st International Conference on Advances in Asian Traditional Medicine held in Pune from 3rd – 7th Jan. 2016. This conference was organized by IASTAM India, to deliberate on developments of Traditional Systems of Medicine in India and evolve a common agenda for Asian countries for global reach. The conference covered more than 150 Abstracts, 3 pre-conference workshops, 10 plenary sessions, paper and poster presentations and Symposiums.
The Sowa-Rigpa Symposium was organized as a part of Ratimed research project, funded by European Research Council (ERC) based at Institute for Social Anthropology at the Austrian Academy of Science. The actual symposium was held on 5th Jan from 9.15 am till 4.30 pm in which experts of Sowa-Rigpa, Tibetan Medicine was invited. Council Gen. Secretary Dr. Tsamchoe has briefly introduced the Council and had presented on: The integration of Tibetan Medicine with AYUSH System. CCTM thank the team of Ratimed project for their invitation.
