The Central Council of Tibetan Medicine (CCTM) today congratulated Dr. Yeshi Dhondhen, former personal physician to His Holiness the Dalai Lama for being nominated as one of the 73 recipients of this year’s Padma Shri Award by the Govt. of India.
Dr. Yeshi Dhondhen is the second Tibetan to receive the prestigious award from the Indian Government after Geshe Ngawang Samten in 2009.
On behalf of all registered members and members of FTM, Council Vice Chair Dr. Sonam Dolkar Oshoe and Gen. Secretary Dr Tsering Tsamchoe paid a visit at his resident and officially Congratulated and thank Dr. Yeshi Dhondhen for his tireless effort and his lifelong service for the preservation and promotion of Sowa Rigpa; Tibetan Medical System.
CCTM also thank the Ministry of AYUSH and the Central Government for this recognition and promoting this unique medical system same time.
