The Central Council of Tibetan Medicine Accreditation Program

Registration Guidelines

Until now, traditional Tibetan physicians have not been registered under any licensing authority. Our colleges and pharmaceutical units are also not registered, despite their high level of proficiency. Therefore, the Central Council aims to register all medical colleges, pharmaceutical units and traditional Tibetan physicians over time through its registrar.

In order to accomplish this task, the Central Council has prepared guidelines for the registration of physicians, academic institutions, and for the preparation of herbal medicine.

Registration of all Traditional Tibetan Physicians

The Central Council of Tibetan Medicine has prepared registration forms and is in the process of distributing these forms to all traditional Tibetan physicians. If you have not received the registration form and booklet, please register with the Central Council.

Physicians who fulfill the criteria laid out in the Act and the rules and regulations set out by the Central Council of Tibetan Medicine will then be registered.

Temporary registration of all Tibetan Medical Colleges and Universities in Exile

Medical colleges will be registered for three years on a temporary basis as per the guidelines prepared by the Central Council of Tibetan Medicine.

For more information please contact us.

Guidelines for the preparation of Tibetan Medicine

The Central Council aims to prepare guidelines for the preparation of Tibetan herbal medicine. The Central Council will make attempts to incorporate traditional and basic scientific principles as well as other special requirements related to the use of Tibetan herbal and other medicinal ingredients and their products.
